The bridges I crossed .....

Life has been a Roller coaster ride ,
But I made it look like fun filled stride ,
Let’s look back and see what was achieved
Or lost as I tumbled over the bridges I crossed.......

Childhood was a big joke of my dark skin, for a girl higher education the chances were thin ........
Was married with dowry’s and orthodox thoughts
instantly became a lady as bridge of age I crossed......

Duties surpassed every authority or silly desires ,
motherhood one blessing which never made me retire.....
shining future of our son made me tolerate all ills,
Moral harassment too couldn’t let me cross the bridge....

Years later something uncanny happened,
Son found his love of life and settled ,
to make changes at sixty I refused to be bossed,
And took to writing about the bridges I crossed....
