Bharat

‘Bharat’, an idea par excellence,

Championed through turbulence, 

Reverberates in my heart,

Till death do us part,

Overwhelms me with joy, 

Protecting me from coy,

Though, at times I feel,

It gave me more than my needs,

How will I repay it back? 

Shouldn’t I think of that, 

I know Bismil’s epitaph
