I Wish

I wish the earth was as beautiful as it looked from space,

but having a closer look changes the expression on my face.

There are more disasters, there is more flood,

and there are places still wet by human blood.

We call her mother nature and natural beauty,

but in these show-offs, we forget our first duty.

We have to be aware, we have to take precautions,

We have to focus more on equality, education, and population.

But, if we can't fulfill basic needs such as food,

how can we expect those poor to be a responsible dude?

I wish, thieves are not only the ones who are in prison,

but also, the ones who are lying comfortably on a cushion.

I wish our deeds were governed by some supernatural laws,

which treated us equally for our favors and flaws.

There should exist something after our death,

the stories heard since childhood may not remain a myth.

I wish there is something beyond atoms and molecules,

and people following different religions are not fools.

I wish our people were sincere enough to not have wars,

rather lay down peacefully at night and look at these stars.

These are very distant, they are the reality,

They call us to explore, but we are stuck in cruelty.

I wish there is someone who could fulfill any of my wishes,

looking for shooting stars may not be bishes.
